Welcome to The Center for Child and Adult Psychiatry

The Center for Child and Adult Psychiatry is a Tampa-based integrative psychiatric clinic. We offer a comprehensive and individualized treatment approach, combining conventional psychiatry and psychotherapy with mind-body techniques. Our goal is to get to the root-cause of your behavioral health conditions.

Dr. Thorkelson

Dr. Thorkelson, MD is the founder and Medical Director of the Center for Child and Adult Psychiatry. He is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. He finished his adult psychiatry training at Temple University and went on to complete a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed additional psychodynamic fellowship training at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.
